OUR STORY
Riversong was founded in 1998 by Frances Vadner, a hospital social worker turned massage therapist who believed people deserved care before crisis—not only after.
Through her work in healthcare, Frances saw how often people waited until burnout, pain, or stress became overwhelming before seeking support. She envisioned something different: a place where intentional care, preventative wellness, and genuine human connection could help people feel better long before they reached that breaking point.
After attending massage school in California, Frances returned to Jefferson City, Missouri with that vision and opened Riversong—the first full-service day spa in Mid-Missouri. From the beginning, Riversong was designed as a space for relief, restoration, and reconnection.
What started as a small team of five has grown into a multi-location spa and salon serving thousands of guests each year. While much has evolved, our purpose remains the same: to help people feel better—inside and out—through thoughtful, personalized care.
Today, Riversong is more than a spa or salon. It’s a place where guests feel truly heard, and where talented professionals can build meaningful, sustainable careers. Through this work, Red Slipper Warrior provides tools that nurture self-esteem, inspire strength, and remind each Warrior that she is not alone. Their vision, that every woman and girl fighting cancer has the resources and support to win each day, reflects our belief that true wellness comes from community, compassion, and connection.
